Mentally I feel like the year is over but in actuality it’s only February. So much has happened these last few months. It feels like one big lump of days where I didn’t accomplish anything. The holiday’s always do that to me. Thus creating my mental state to be at a low these last few weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I know people say “oh, things will get better”. Yes, they only get better when you make it better. YOU control how you will feel. I have learned that through the many sessions with my therapist. (if you don’t have a therapist – find one – a good one – you won’t regret it)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Getting back to me – well – Retail Therapy helps me! Not all the time but most of the time. It can be the smallest thing like a sheet mask or makeup to skincare products to even the big bold expensive items (almost hard to achieve). I mean I’ll take a Bubble Tea too if that is around hahaha. I do my best to be mindful of how I’m taking care of myself. Our work and personal life sometimes just gets in the way of self\/mental care. If you can – which I try to do it – shut everything off (mentally) take time for yourself. If you have kids – ask your parents, siblings, or significant other for help. Not communicating that you need help – will fester and make you resent everything and everyone around you. Circling back – you control you! So take control of the situation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I decided that this Valentine’s Day – my significant other and I will be doing something – it doesn’t matter what it is. First thing I did was went to get a cute Little Black Dress from Express. Yes, I have plenty of clothes but you can never not have enough dresses. Added some cute booties that I haven’t worn in awhile. There you have it a cute outfit for any occasion. I showed it off and he decided let’s do something special in the city. A night out on the town is always the hardest to get him to do – so I’m glad he came up with the idea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The other day he surprised me with the most amazing gift. One I have be holding out for and wanting for quite a few years. I know it’s a stretch but it was the only one so it is worth the wait. Did you see what I got? *hint: it’s Chanel*<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll have to wait for updates of date night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
